The Kościuszko Mound, built in 1823–1827, is one of Kraków’s most important landmarks, honoring Tadeusz Kościuszko – a national hero of Poland and the United States. Rising 34 meters high and surrounded by 19th-century fortifications, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the surrounding landscapes.
